Information

As the electrocardiogram of a motorcycle engine, the "instrument" must be well aware of the role played by the "instrument". The instrument will tell you every day when it is time to refuel, how many kilometers you have traveled and maintenance is required, and your current speed is How much, it will give you all the instructions and signals for you to make effective judgments during driving. Please don't ignore its existence and importance! But how much do you know about this small screen that you watch every day? Below? Explain the secret of "apparatus" for everyone!

There are ignition switch, turn indicator, neutral indicator, instrument lighting, oil level indicator or indicator, odometer and speedometer on the instrument panel, as shown in the figure:

(1) The speedometer is used to indicate the speed of the motorcycle.

(2) The odometer is used to record the accumulated mileage of motorcycles.

(3) Fuel level indicator or indicator light can indicate the amount of fuel stored in the fuel tank.

(4) When the turn indicator is on, it means the front and rear turn signals of the motorcycle are on.

(5) When the neutral indicator light is on, it indicates that the transmission is in the neutral position.

(6) Instrument lights are used to provide necessary lighting for the instrument panel when the motorcycle is running at night.

(6) The driver observes the various indicators on the instrument panel while the motorcycle is driving, and can grasp the driving status of the motorcycle at any time.

Key points: Some motorcycles do not have an oil gauge on the dashboard. Turn the ignition switch to the "L0N" position. If the oil warning light is on, you must add oil.

Motorcycle meters and switches mainly include the following types:

(1) Horn switch: Horn switches are generally marked with the word "HORN" (horn). Press the horn switch to emit a horn sound.

(2) Combined electrical switch: The front light dimmer switch is used when the motorcycle is running at night. It is generally set on the left grip seat of the motorcycle, as shown in the figure. Generally marked with the word "LIGHTS", which means "light", and also marked with the words "HI" (high beam) and "LO" (low beam). When driving at night, the dimmer switch should be placed in the "LO" position.

(3) Turn signal switch: The turn signal switch is used when the motorcycle changes its driving direction. It is generally set on the left grip of the motorcycle, with the words "TURN" on it, and "TURN" above the "TURN" "L" (turn left) and "R" (turn right). When the turn signal switch is placed in the "L" position, the left turn signal is turned on and a left turn signal is turned on; when the switch is placed in the "R' position, the right turn signal is turned on and a right turn signal is sent; when the turn signal switch is placed In the middle position, the left and right turn signals are turned off.

(4) Front light switch: The front light switch is used to control the front light and instrument lighting. The front light switch is generally set on the right grip seat, and the front light switch has two positions, "OFF" (closed) and "ON" (open). When the motorcycle needs lighting, put the switch in the "ON" position, then the front light will be on; when the lighting is not needed, put the switch in the "OFF" position.

(5) Ignition switch: The ignition switch is located on the instrument panel and is controlled by the ignition switch key. The ignition switch has three positions: "OFF" (closed), "ON" (open) and "LOCK" (lock). The "ON" position indicates that the entire circuit is connected and the engine can be started; the "OFF" position indicates that the entire circuit is disconnected, the engine is turned off, and the key can be taken out; the "LOCK" position indicates that the front direction is locked to prevent theft. The ignition switch is marked with the words "IGNITION" in the middle, which means ignition and ignition.

(6) Fuel switch: The fuel switch is an operating mechanism that directly controls the fuel in the fuel tank into the carburetor. The three-way fuel switch is generally located on the lower side of the fuel tank and has three positions: "ON" (open) position, "OFF" (close) position and "RES" (standby) position.

In the "ON" position, gasoline flows into the carburetor from the main oil pipe, and the switch handle should be turned to the "ON" position when in use. In the "RES" position, gasoline flows from the reserve oil pipe into the carburetor. Only when there is no oil supply from the main oil pipe, the "RES" switch is turned on and the reserve oil pipe is used to supply oil. Because the amount of oil in the reserve oil tank is small, such as If you really need to use the fuel in the spare tank to drive, try to refuel as soon as possible. After refueling, return the switch handle to the "ON" position. In the "OFF'" position, gasoline will not flow from the fuel tank into the carburetor. When the vehicle is not in use, turn the switch handle to the "OFF" position to prevent oil pipe or carburetor leakage.

The (7) handle is the mechanism that operates the choke door to "open" or "close": when the engine is started at low temperature, the choke door should be turned to the closed position to allow the engine to obtain a rich mixture and facilitate engine start. When the engine starts and runs normally, the choke should be opened.

Some of the choke handles are directly set on the carburetor, and some are set on the left grip seat, and are marked with the words "CHOKE" (choke). Some motorcycles are marked with "RUN" (running) and "COLD" (cold car) near the word "CHOKE", which is intended to tell the driver that when a cold car starts, press "CHOKE" (choke door) and press "COLD". The arrow of "(cold car) points and pushes to the end; and after the engine starts, the "CHOKE" (choke) should be pointed by the arrow of "RUN" and pushed to the end.

(8) Instrument panel: The instrument panel is equipped with ignition switch, turn indicator, neutral indicator, instrument lighting, oil level indicator or indicator, odometer and speedometer, etc. Some models also have oil indicator .

1. When the turn signal switch is moved to the left or right, the amber indicator light in the instrument panel will flash.

2. The speedometer indicates the driving speed of the vehicle (km/h); the odometer indicates the total mileage (km) that the vehicle has driven since use; the short-distance odometer can record a certain one-way travel distance, and turn its zero adjustment (reset) knob to Zero the short-distance odometer.

3. When the transmission is in neutral, the green neutral indicator is on. Some motorcycles also have gear indicator lights, and the same number of indicator lights are set according to the number of gears, and the corresponding indicator lights are on when shifting. When in neutral, only the green neutral indicator lights up. Other motorcycles are equipped with the highest gear indicator (TOP), which will flash when the highest gear is used. Remind the driver not to suddenly shift to neutral at the highest gear, but to reverse gears (cycle gears).

4. When using the high beam bulb of the headlight, the blue high beam indicator on the dashboard will be lit.

5. The fuel gauge can display the approximate amount of fuel. When the pointer points to the "F" position, it means full, and when the pointer points to "RES (or E)", it means that the fuel is almost used up. Please refuel as soon as possible.

6. Oil indicator light. When the lubricating oil is reduced, the orange and blue wires are connected, and the light turns red.

How to protect your motorcycle meter:

Nowadays, motorcycle instruments are becoming more advanced and colorful, and now many manufacturers have introduced TFT LCD screen instruments.
